Having missed out on finals last year, the Cougars made it back-to-back wins over the Bull Sharks to claim their eighth straight victory and a spot in this year's grand final with a 67-48 triumph.
The victory was set up in a blistering first quarter where the Cougars jumped out to a 24-8 lead at the first break while Nalani Makunde was dominant in the goal circle scoring a game-high 56 points with 89 per cent shooting including three Super Shots.
Defensive pressure from Cougars' duo Lillyana Rennie and Gemma Hutchings shut down Bond's high-scoring scoring end with Mia Stower (47 per cent), Kaylin van Gruenen (59 per cent) and Kirra Tappenden (72 per cent) all struggling to hit the scoreboard regularly for the Bull Sharks.
The Cougars will get a weekend off with their grand final opponent to be determined in Sunday's preliminary final between the Bull Sharks and Sunshine Coast Thunder, who pipped Gold Coast Titans in Sunday's elimination semi-final.
In a thrilling contest, Thunder shooter Sally Jenkins nailed the decisive goal to eliminate the Titans as Simone Nalatu's team claimed a 58-57 win.
Roxanne Rhind's two-pointer with a minute to play had pulled the Titans level and with overtime looming, Jenkins missed a Super Shot attempt of her own but recovered to score the match-winning goal and send the Thunder into the second week of finals.
Sunday's grand final qualifier between Bond and the Thunder begins at Nissan Arena from 6pm.
