The Ruby Series serves as a vital pathway for developing Queensland’s emerging netball talent, offering athletes, coaches, and officials the opportunity to progress to elite levels.
Redlands Netball Association has a rich history of success, boasting representative teams and players for nearly 30 years.
Since 2018, the association has been ranked among the top 10 in the state, consistently fielding high-performing teams at regional and state levels.
In 2021, Redlands Netball achieved an impressive second-place finish in the State Performance Award, which recognises the best-performing association relative to its size.
The association's players and coaches have also made their mark in both the Sapphire and Ruby Series, with significant representation across state titles. In 2023, Redlands had 12 athletes across the Queensland 17U and 19U State Squads and this year that number has risen to 16, showcasing the depth of talent within the organisation.
Redlands Netball Association is committed to nurturing future stars through initiatives such as their 11s Academy, which is designed to introduce and develop young athletes and coaches. The association is proud to provide pathways and support for players, coaches, and officials to reach elite professional levels, while inspiring the next generation of netball players.
“We are excited about entering the competition and the growth it will bring to the region,” a Redlands Coast Netball spokesperson said.
The addition of Redlands, alongside the arrival of the Moreton Bay City Pulse, means the 2025 Ruby Series will boast 10 teams, while the Sapphire Series has expanded to eight teams next year.
